9-5 Success
I’ve been successful climbing the corporate ladder. I spent fifteen years working at Fidelity Investments in various roles, culminating in a Vice President position before my departure. From Fidelity, I became the Head of Enterprise Risk for Coinbase, which for someone in my field of risk management, may even be viewed as the pinnacle, or top of the ladder.
In short, I’ve been pretty good at “9-5s” from a promotion, title, and compensation perspective.
That being said, all the success in the world couldn’t have prepared me for starting a business!
Enter Walk You To Wealth
Walk You To Wealth was born out of a fairly simple idea: make financial planning simple, accessible, and affordable for everyone.

But sometimes even the simplest idea is hard to execute!
I know how to inspire people and simplify complex topics which is most of this new “job,” but I don’t know how to market, build a site, write SEO, sell, drive growth, etc.
Walk You To Wealth has been a series of trials, errors, and successes. For example, I’m currently trying Google and Meta Ads to see if it will drive clients to my site. I’ve also spent a fair amount of time building my social media presence on X and have recently branched out to Facebook and Instagram. Although I’ve enjoyed interacting with followers on X, it hasn’t been successful at driving business.
Other trials have been more successful, such as partnering with Wealthramp as one of their only vetted financial coaches.
Summary
The hardest part of starting Walk You To Wealth isn’t the trials and errors (although those aren’t easy either). It’s knowing that I’m offering something unique that can help a lot of people, but they just can’t seem to find me!
Sadly, sometimes even when they do find me, they just can’t bring themselves to move forward. For example, I recently had a potential client email me who was in credit card debt and wanted help. Despite two emails back to her, I never heard from her again. It’s hard to help people who don’t want to help themselves!
I will continue to experiment, try new things, and fail, but I will also continue to learn and ultimately grow this business!
In summary, climbing the executive ladder is much easier than starting a business, despite what you read on social media!
