Updated: Aug 27, 2023

The Problem

Your financial situation will have a significant impact on your mood.

Meme about financial moodiness

For example:

  • Mindshare: The average American worries about money six times a day according to recent research.

  • Anxiety: A study by the American Psychological Association found that 72% of adults who are struggling financially report feeling stressed about money, and 36% say that their financial stress has caused them to feel depressed.

  • Lack of Sleep: A study by the University of Pittsburgh found that people who are struggling financially are more likely to have trouble sleeping than those who are not.

  • Marital Issues: A study by the University of California, Berkeley found that financial problems are a major cause of marital conflict.

Meme of husband and wife arguing about money

  • Health Problems: A study by the University of Wisconsin-Madison found that financial stress can increase the risk of heart disease, stroke, and other health problems.

Fixing your financial situation cannot prevent divorce, anxiety, or other situations, but it can help to minimize the risk of these problems.

The Solution

The solution isn’t easy, but it’s also not complicated or expensive. From a cost perspective, it’s significantly cheaper than the alternatives, such as divorce, which costs an average of ~$13,000, or depression, which can cost anywhere from ~$9,000 (direct costs) to ~$16,000 (direct and indirect costs) annually.

  • Books/Courses: If you are able to turn it around yourself by implementing strategies from a book or online course, then you should pursue those strategies.

  • Advisor/Coaching: If you are like most people and need a bit more help, guidance, and someone to hold you accountable for your financial goals, then you should find a Certified Financial Planner to work with.

Walk You To Wealth offers all of these options (i.e., book, online course, personalized coaching program) at an affordable price; however, if Walk You To Wealth isn’t a good fit for you, there are plenty of other resources, coaches, and advisors available.

If you or someone you know would benefit from personalized coaching, please schedule a free introductory meeting to learn more!
