Family Bucket List

Updated: Aug 27, 2023

Origin Story

During the stretch of COVID where you barely left your house, I introduced my kids to Monster Jam on TV. If you’ve never heard of Monster Jam, it’s essentially a lot of this…

Towards the end of the pandemic, we even attended a local event at Gillette stadium. After the event, my kids asked if we could add the Monster Jam World Finals (the Super Bowl of Monster Jam) to our family bucket list.

Spending Intentionally

For those who work with me or have read my book, you know that I try my best to spend intentionally. This family bucket list is exactly that. Spending on experiences that at least one person in our family of four feels strongly about. For example, last year we swam with dolphins which was a unanimous bucket list item (on a side note, dolphins charge more than doctors, but are worth every penny).

Now, back to Monster Jam! During the fall of 2022, the tickets went on sale for Monster Jam World Finals in Nashville and I decided that it was time to check this item off our bucket list!

World Finals

Flash forward and everyone in my family loved the World Finals and we all left saying that we would potentially attend again, depending on the location.

All this being said, this isn’t a post about Monster Jam or dolphins, but rather spending on what matters to you, also known as, spending intentionally. This is easier said than done, but the alternative typically leads to fleeting moments of joy followed by long periods of unhappiness.
